What Drives Us

Our Mission

Our Mission, here at Bay Colony, is to finally create a safe space for real enthusiasts to seek out a vehicle on their terms; clear-cut and simple, away from the scammers, away from the shameless price-gougers Stateside.

What Drives Us

(Fair warning: This may sound more like a rant than a description of our mission statement)

Although it may not be the healthiest way to open a business, EuroRoversDirect.com is operating out of a small fit of rage. Unlike most Stateside Land Rover importers, we actually have feet on the ground in Spain. We meet with the sellers of these vehicles, and more often than not we end up developing relationships with these sellers. After spending some time in the conventional import/export business back home, something became obvious with the European Land Rover importers in the US: they are completely unnecessary. They are the middle man that simply picked out the vehicle from a seller, hand off the shipping logistics to a freight fowarder, and then pass off the vehicle as somehow being their own unique piece for 3x the original price at least. This method hurts two people, the US buyer Stateside and the Spaniard who’s selling the original vehicle. Series III Land Rovers in Spain are typically sold for $7-12k, US-bound shipping is typically $3.5k; so what right do US importers have to charge ~30k stateside for an original/unrestored Rover?

It might sound corny, but we view ourselves as the working-man’s importer. After all, these vehicles were ALWAYS the working-man’s utility vehicle. We’re here to disrupt the traditional and outdated system that serves no justice to the real car community, and bring these vehicles to the People; simple as that.

Our Organization

We’re made up of two ASE certified master mechanics back home in Massachusetts; Freddy Martinez and Mike Gaudet, and the founder of EuroRoversDirect, Jackson Farrell, who operates out of Spain to source the proper vehicles.

All three of us share a strong connection in the industry as we all worked together in a garage for some time before splitting and eventually rejoining to form this entity

We see this as a means to make a living out of something we truly have a passion for.
