A crucial piece of Land Rover history and a remarkably rare example has been brought to the market by Ibiza Defenders. The Land Rover Stage One is the bridge between Series Land Rovers and the Defender Land Rovers. Made in much smaller numbers than their Series III sibling, finding one in outstanding condition like this example can prove extremely difficult. These Stage One’s come only in the long wheelbase on leaf springs, powered by a carbureted V8, and sporting the iconic grille that would soon become the Defender 90/110 trademark. Unlike most of Ibiza Defender’s frame-off restorations, they aim to preserve this vehicle as seen fit. It comes with its original paint and patina and beautiful black interior. You’ll be pressed to find another Stage One example as clean as this.
